DJ Madd, also known for his real name of Peter Simon begun his journey into the sound production since he was a teenager. As a fact, his first vinyl release occured in 2008. He is known for making a quick connection between underground bass music and the Jamaican reggae style music within an extraordinary evolution that took place over the years. Along his journey, DJ Madd met a bunch of artists that supported him and by naming a few of those we will mention UK tastemakers like Toddla T, Mary Anne Hobs, David Rodigan and many more which contributions helped on this quality supportive trend that was borned.
He lived in many places which helped him to move forward through his story within sound and with this ocassion we will make a short brief history about. Since he moved from Budapest to Bristol, a quick and great move was recognized on Skream’s RinseFM show that gave him a great impulse alongside many multiple shots that took place on high profile compilations such as “This is Dubstep” or the Ministry Of Sound’s “The Sound of Dubstep”. After years passed… Roots & Future was born under his signature by building a movement that fusions bass music with old-school dubwise sounds. Just like that, DJ Madd begun to write many EP’s, singles and remixes that can represent in an easy manner a unique stylish flavour that revolutionised bass music scene. Continuing with his history, Simon Peter lived in Tokyo and a gorgeous EP was born. The one and only “The Real & The Shadow”. Great Japanese culture influence and heavy 140 musical vibes with many loving sounds.
