Badman Studios is a record label established in 2016 under Leaf and Skugz, based in San Francisco. The label aims to promote quality music, true to strong dub and dubstep roots, and heavily influenced by grime, hip hop, garage and drum’n’bass.
For their 6th release the label welcomes its subsequent addition to the roster – Major Oak. A dedicated crew of four from Nottingham, who’ve been stirring the scene’s attention with a recent 10″ release on Transient Audio, as well as weighty, digital appearances on Infernal Sounds, Biscuit Factory, and Sub Garden. Besides reeling in support from the likes of Distance & Darkside’s Indepth Radio and collaborations with Dub heavyweights such as Digid, their sound speaks for itself.
LaShar definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. Emanating a surreal amount of low frequency magic combined with heartwarming melodies, steady percussions, and amazing atmoshperic elements which all combined make this track unique and ready to destroy every soundsystem it gets played on.
On a more personal note, I’ve been waiting for the release of this track from the moment I first go the chance to hear it.
BDMN006 will be officially released on the 28th of June being available for pre-orders as of now on the labels bandcamp page.
